୧୮ ନଭେମ୍ବର, ୨୦୨୫ରେ, ଛେଣ୍ଡିପଦା ରେଞ୍ଜର କୋଶଳା ସେକ୍ସନର କର୍ମଚାରୀ ଏବଂ କୋଶଳାର ବିଦ୍ୟୁତ ବିଭାଗ କର୍ମଚାରୀଙ୍କୁ ନେଇ ଗଠିତ ଏକ ମିଳିତ ରାତ୍ରିକାଳୀନ ପାଟ୍ରୋଲିଂ ଦଳ ଛେଣ୍ଡିପଦା ରେଞ୍ଜର କୋଶଳା ସେକ୍ସନର ଅଧିକାର କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗତ ବଡ଼ପାଳ ଗ୍ରାମ ନିକଟରେ ବେଆଇନ ବିଦ୍ୟୁତ ହୁକିଂ ଚିହ୍ନଟ କରିଥିଲେ।ଅପରେସନ ସମୟରେ, ଦଳ ଘଟଣାସ୍ଥଳରୁ ପ୍ରାୟ ୧.୫ କିଲୋଗ୍ରାମ ଜିଆଇ ତାର, ୧୦ଟି କାଚ ବୋତଲ ଏବଂ ୧୦ଟି ଲୁହା ରଡ୍ ଜବତ କରିଥିଲା, ଯାହା ସାଧାରଣତଃ ବେଆଇନ ବିଦ୍ୟୁତ-ହୁକିଂ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକଳାପ ପାଇଁ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୁଏ। ଜବତ ସାମଗ୍ରୀଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଅଧିକ ତଦନ୍ତ ପାଇଁ କୋଶଳା ସେକ୍ସନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଳୟକୁ ନିଆଯାଇଥିଲା।ଆମେ ଜନସାଧାରଣଙ୍କୁ ଏପରି ବେଆଇନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକଳାପରୁ ନିବୃତ୍ତ ରହିବାକୁ ନିବେଦନ କରୁଛୁ, କାରଣ ଏହା ମାନବ ଜୀବନ ଏବଂ ବନ୍ୟପ୍ରାଣୀ ଉଭୟ ପାଇଁ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବିପଦ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରେ।ପାଟ୍ରୋଲିଂ ଦଳରେ ବନରକ୍ଷୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ଆଶିଷ କୁମାର ସାହୁ; ହାତୀ ସ୍କ୍ୱାଡ୍ ଶ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀନିବାସ ସାହୁ; ହାତୀ ସ୍କ୍ୱାଡ୍ ଶ୍ରୀ ଅର୍ଜୁନ ବାରିକ; ହାତୀ ସ୍କ୍ୱାଡ୍ ଶ୍ରୀ ହଟ କିଶୋର ଦେହୁରୀ; ଏବଂ ବିଦ୍ୟୁତ ବିଭାଗରୁ ଶ୍ରୀ ଜୱେଲ୍ ରାଉଲ୍ ଥିଲେ।
On November 18, 2025, a joint night patrol consisting of staff from the Kosala Section of the Chhendipada Range and personnel from the Electric Department, Kosala, detected illegal electric hooking near Badapal village, under the jurisdiction of the Kosala Section, Chhendipada Range.
During the operation, the team seized approximately 1.5 kg of GI wire, 10 glass bottles, and 10 iron rods from the spot, all of which are commonly used for illegal electric-hooking activities. The seized materials were then taken to the Kosala Section Office for further investigation.
We appeal to the public to refrain from engaging in such illegal activities, as they pose significant risks to both human lives and wildlife.
The patrol team consisted of Sri Ashis Kumar Sahu, Forest Guard; Sri Srinibash Sahu, Elephant Squad; Sri Arjuna Barik, Elephant Squad; Sri Hata Kishore Dehury, Elephant Squad; and Sri Jwell Roul from the Electric Department.
