ଟାଟା ଷ୍ଟିଲ୍ ମେରାମଣ୍ଡଳୀରେ ତରଳ ଧାତୁ ପରିଚାଳନା କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ନିରାପତ୍ତା ସମ୍ପର୍କିତ କର୍ମଶାଳା
ନରେନ୍ଦ୍ରପୁର, ୨୨ ମାର୍ଚ୍ଚ, ୨୦୨୬: ଓଡ଼ିଶା ସରକାରଙ୍କ କାରଖାନା ଏବଂ ବଏଲର ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶାଳୟ, ଅନୁଗୁଳ ବିଭାଗ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଟାଟା ଷ୍ଟିଲ୍ ମେରାମଣ୍ଡଳୀଠାରେ “ଇସ୍ପାତ ସେକ୍ଟରରେ ତରଳ ଧାତୁ ପରିଚାଳନା ସମୟରେ ନିରାପତ୍ତା ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା’ ଶୀର୍ଷକ ଏକ ବିଭାଗୀୟ ସ୍ତରୀୟ କର୍ମଶାଳା ଆୟୋଜିତ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି ।
ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅତିଥି ଭାବେ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ସରକାରଙ୍କ କାରଖାନା ଏବଂ ବଏଲର ବିଭାଗର ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ ଆଇଏଏସ୍ ଶ୍ରୀ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରମଣି ତ୍ରିପାଠୀ କର୍ମଶାଳା ଉଦ୍ଘାଟନ କରିଥିଲେ। ସମ୍ମାନିତ ଅତିଥି ଭାବେ ମୁଖ୍ୟାଳୟର ଉପ-ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ (ସୁରକ୍ଷା) ଡକ୍ଟର ମଳୟ କୁମାର ପ୍ରଧାନ ଏବଂ ଅନୁଗୁଳ ଡିଭିଜନର ଉପ-ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ ଡକ୍ଟର ରମେଶ କୁମାର ବେହେରା ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ। ଉଦ୍ଘାଟନୀ ସମାରୋହରେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶାଳୟ ଏବଂ ଟାଟା ଷ୍ଟିଲ୍ର ବରିଷ୍ଠ ଅଧିକାରୀମାନେ ଯୋଗଦେଇ ତରଳ ଧାତୁ ପରିଚାଳନା କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ଦୃଢ଼ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱ ଉପରେ ଆଲୋକପାତ କରିଥିଲେ।
ଟାଟା ଷ୍ଟିଲ୍ ମେରାମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ଅପରେସନ୍ସ ଭାଇସ୍ ପ୍ରେସିଡେଣ୍ଟ ଶ୍ରୀ ସୁଧୀର କୁମାର ମେହେଟ୍ଟା ଏହି କର୍ମଶାଳାର ପ୍ରାସଙ୍ଗିକତା ଉପରେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱାରୋପ କରିବା ସହ ଇସ୍ପାତ ଶିଳ୍ପରେ ନିରାପତ୍ତା ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର ନିରନ୍ତର ଉନ୍ନତି ପାଇଁ ଆହ୍ୱାନ ଦେଇଥିଲେ।
ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ଢେଙ୍କାନାଳ ଜୋନ୍ର କାରଖାନା ଏବଂ ବଏଲର ବିଭାଗର ସହକାରୀ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ ଇଞ୍ଜିନିୟର ବିଶ୍ୱଜିତ ପାଣିଗ୍ରାହୀ, ଅନଗୁଳ ଜୋନ୍-୨ର କାରଖାନା ଏବଂ ବଏଲର ବିଭାଗର ସହକାରୀ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ ଶ୍ରୀ ମାଧବ ମଲ୍ଲିକ ଏବଂ ଅନୁଗୋଳ ଜୋନ୍-୧ର କାରଖାନା ଏବଂ ବଏଲର ବିଭାଗର ସହକାରୀ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ ଶ୍ରୀ ମନୋଜ କୁମାର ମିଶ୍ର ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ।
ରୁଙ୍ଗଟା ମାଇନ୍ସର ବ୍ଲାଷ୍ଟ ଫର୍ଣ୍ଣେସ ଏବଂ ସେଣ୍ଟର ପ୍ଲାଣ୍ଟର ସିନିୟର ଜେନେରାଲ ମ୍ୟାନେଜର ମଧୁସୂଦନ କେ. ଏମ୍ଙ୍କ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷତାରେ ଆୟୋଜିତ ପ୍ରଥମ ବୈଷୟିକ ଅଧିବେଶନରେ ରୁଙ୍ଗଟା ମାଇନ୍ସ ଲିମିଟେଡର ପରାମର୍ଶଦାତା ଶ୍ରୀ ବିନୋଦ ବିହାରୀ ମହାନ୍ତି “ଷ୍ଟିଲ୍ ମେଲ୍ଟିଂ ସପ୍ରେ ସୁରକ୍ଷା’ ବିଷୟରେ ଆଲୋଚନା କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ରାଉରକେଲା ଷ୍ଟିଲ୍ ପ୍ଲାଣ୍ଟର ଏସ୍ଏମ୍ଏସ୍ର ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ସାଧାରଣ ପରିଚାଳକ ଶ୍ରୀ ଅଖିଳଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ମହାରଣା “ତରଳ ଧାତୁ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ଅଭ୍ୟାସ’ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ନିଜର ବକ୍ତବ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ।
ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ବୈଷୟିକ ଅଧିବେଶନ ଶ୍ରୀ ଅମିତ କୁମାର ସିଂହ (ମୁଖ୍ୟ, ଆଇରନ୍ ଏବଂ ଷ୍ଟିଲ୍, ଟାଟା ଷ୍ଟିଲ୍ ମେରାମଣ୍ଡଳୀ)ଙ୍କ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷତାରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ଏହି ଅଧିବେଶନରେ ଟାଟା ଷ୍ଟିଲ୍ ମେରାମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ବ୍ଲାଷ୍ଟ ଫର୍ଣ୍ଣେସ ଚିଫ୍ ଶ୍ରୀ ମୟଙ୍କ ତିୱାରୀ ଯୋଗଦେଇ “ତରଳ ଧାତୁ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ସୁରକ୍ଷା ପରିଚାଳନା’ ଉପରେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱାରୋପ କରିଥିଲେ।
ସେହିପରି ସମ୍ବଲପୁରର ଭୂଷଣ ପାୱାର ଆଣ୍ଡ ଷ୍ଟିଲ୍ ଲିମିଟେଡ୍ର ଷ୍ଟିଲର ସାଧାରଣ ପରିଚାଳକ ଶ୍ରୀ ଧନଞ୍ଜୟ ପ୍ରସାଦ ଏବଂ ଫାୟାର ଆଣ୍ଡ ସେଫ୍ଟିର ସାଧାରଣ ପରିଚାଳକ ଶ୍ରୀ ଅଶୋକ ବିଶ୍ୱାଳ “ଇଲେକ୍ଟ୍ରିକ୍ ଆର୍କ ଫର୍ଣ୍ଣେସର ସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ପରିଚାଳନା’ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱାରୋପ କରିଥିଲେ।
କର୍ମଶାଳାରେ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଶିଳ୍ପ ସଂସ୍ଥାରୁ ୧୩୫ରୁ ଅଧିକ ପ୍ରତିନିଧି ଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥିଲେ । ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶାଳୟର ଅଧିକାରୀମାନେ ଟାଟା ଷ୍ଟିଲ୍ ମେରାମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ଓ ଢେଙ୍କାନାଳ ଷ୍ଟିଲ ପ୍ଲାଣ୍ଟର ରୁଙ୍ଗଟା ମାଇନ୍ସ ଲିମିଟେଡର ନିରାପତ୍ତା ପରିଚାଳନା ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର ସମୀକ୍ଷା କରିବା ସହ ଉନ୍ନତିକରଣ ପାଇଁ ପରାମର୍ଶ ଦେଇଥିଲେ ।
Division-Level Workshop on Safe Practices in Handling of Molten Metal Held at Tata Steel Meramandali
Narendrapur, March 22, 2026: Angul division of the Directorate of Factories & Boilers, Government of Odisha, organised a Division-level workshop on “Safe Practices in Handling of Molten Metal with Special Reference to Steel Sector” at Tata Steel, Meramandali.
The workshop was inaugurated by Sj Indramani Tripathy, IAS, Director of Factories & Boilers, Odisha, as Chief Guest, in presence of Dr Malay Kumar Pradhan, Deputy Director (Safety), Headquarters, as Guest of Honour, Dr Ramesh Kumar Behera, Deputy Director, Angul Division. Senior officials from the Directorate and Tata Steel addressed the inaugural session, emphasising the importance of robust safety practices in handling of molten metal.
Shri Sudhir Kumar Mehta, Vice President, Operations, Tata Steel Meramandali, highlighted the importance of the workshop and underscored the need for continuous improvement in safety practices in the steel industry,
Er. Biswajit Panigrahi, Assistant Director of Factories and Boilers, Dhenkanal Zone, Sri Madhav Mallik, Asst. Director of factories and Boilers, Angul Zone-II, Shri Manoj Kumar Mishra, Assistant Director of Factories and Boilers, Angul Zone -I were present during the occasion.
The first technical session of the day was chaired by Shri Madhusudhana K. M., Senior General Manager, Blast Furnace and Sinter Plant of Rungta Mines Limited, Dhenkanal Steel Plant. During the session, deliberations were held on “Safety at the Steel Melting Shop”, presented by Shri Binod Behari Mohanty, Advisor, Rungta Mines Limited, Dhenkanal Steel Plant, and on “Molten Metal Safety Practices”, presented by Shri Akhila Chandra Moharana, Additional General Manager, SMS, Rourkela Steel Plant.
The second technical session was chaired by Shri Amit Kumar Singh, Chief, Iron and Steel, Tata Steel Meramandali. The session included presentations on “Process Safety Management for Molten Metals” by Shri Mayank Tiwari, Chief, Blast Furnace, Tata Steel Meramandali, and on “Safe Operation of Electric Arc Furnace” by Shri Dhananjay Prasad, General Manager, Steel and Shri Ashok Biswal, General Manager, Fire & Safety, Bhushan Power & Steel Limited, Sambalpur. During both sessions, the experts shared best practices and safety measures adopted in their respective plants
Over 135 participants from various industries attended the programme. Officials of the Directorate also reviewed the Safety Management System of Tata Steel, Meramandali and Safety management system of Rungta Mines Ltd. Dhenkanal Steel plant and provided suggestions for further improvement.
