Angul – On 08 January 2026, at around 04:30 AM, acting on a reliable tip-off, the staff of Angul Range, led by the Range Officer, Angul Range, conducted a successful house raid at Baliapasi Sahi of Manikjodi Village under Manikjodi Beat. During the raid, two handmade guns were detected and seized, and three persons namely Sri Amulya Nayak of Baliapasi Sahi, Sri Sujan Sethi of Baliapasi Sahi, and Sri Sumanta Behera of Saharasahi, all of Manikjodi Village, were apprehended. Upon interrogation, it was revealed that the accused persons were involved in the poaching of wild animals. The seized handmade guns were recovered from the house of the accused, and thereafter all the accused persons were brought to the Angul Range Office for further investigation.The raid was conducted by Sri Udhaba Behera, Range Officer, Sri Abhimanyu Majhi, Forester, Smt.
