NTPC Talcher Thermal Advances Community Development Through Anganwadi Revamp.
22nd April 2026 – NTPC Limited Talcher Thermal has upgraded and formally handed over nine Anganwadi Centres across four Gram Panchayats, Santhapada, Bantol, Jagannathpur, and Gurujanguli, marking a significant step towards strengthening early childhood care and education in its peripheral areas. Eight additional centres are currently under construction, taking the total number of Anganwadis under this initiative to 17.On Dated 21st and 22nd April 2026 Shri Vijay Chand, Executive Director and BUH, Talcher Thermal along with Shri Praveer Kumar, General Manager (Project), Shri Rohit Kumar, AGM (HR), Sri. S. C Behera, AGM (TS) along with senior officials have visited Anganwadi Centres, of village Santhapada, Bantol, Jagannathpur, and GurujanguliThe handover ceremony was led by Shri Vijay Chand, Executive Director and BUH, Talcher Thermal, in the presence of local representatives, officials, Anganwadi workers, Sarpanch and community members. School Bags are distributed to the Anganwadi Children.Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the importance of quality early education in shaping cognitive abilities, social behaviour, and overall personality development of children.The work has been executed partnering with EdCIL (India) Limited as part of a comprehensive initiative covering 17 Anganwadi Centres across the four Gram Panchayats, aimed at strengthening the overall ecosystem and improve learning levels of Children.The initiatives taken by NTPC Talcher Thermal little children are appreciated by the parents and villagers and participants.
